Academic partnership

BioEnTech benefits since its creation from the help and support of  well-known academic partners

the Laboratory of Environmental Biotechnology (LBE) of the French Institute for Agronomical Research (INRA) at Narbonne (France) and the Project Team BioCore of the French Institute for Research in Informatics and Control Science (INRIA) at Sophia-Antipolis (France).

The integrated monitoring solution MeMo includes methods, tools and software which have been initially developped by two research laboratory, the Laboratory of Biotechnology for the Environment (LBE) of INRA in Narbonne and the project team BioCore from INRIA at Sophia-Antipolis.

logo-INRAThe Laboratory of Biotechnology for the Environment (LBE), located in Narbonne, is a laboratory of the National Research Institute for Agriculture Science (INRA).It is a prominent research laboratory in the field of environmental biorefinery, with a long and recognized experience in anaerobic digestion and technologies for waste treatment and recovery. Its expertise in the field of modelling, process monitoring and control for biological processes is world-wide  acknowledged.

logo_INRIA BioCore is a joint INRIA (Research Unit in Sophia-Antipolis) , INRA (sites in Sophia Antipolis and LBE Narbonne) research-team, and UPMC/CNRS Oceanographic Laboratory of Villefranche-sur-mer (LOV). The overall goal of BioCore is to contribute to environment preservation by developing new energy sources, avoiding water pollution and replacing the use of chemicals for crops. In this context, the objective is to design, model, analyse, control and optimize artificial ecosystems (designed by man, built by man, or profoundly modified by man).

The joint research works of these two laboratories lead to the developoment of two softaware, Odin by INRIA and Silex-LBE by INRA,which aim at provide a monitoring software solution dedicated to biological processes. This sofwtare suite offers an application framework to the advanced mathematical tools and methods developed in theses research laboratories to increase performances and robustness of bio-processes.
